PISP is een doorlopende serie illustraties, waarin real life programmeurs worden afgebeeld op onrealistische plekken die bij hen passen. De plekken zijn vaak gekoppeld aan de dingen die ze leuk vinden of waar ze gefascineerd door zijn.
Dit project begon als een eigenaardig idee voor een verjaardagscadeau, maar wordt nu doorgezet als doorlopend project. Deze illustraties geven vaak een uniek inzicht in de persoon waar we normaal aan denken als iemand die in zijn eentje achter een bureau zit, ijverig code aan het schrijven die de meesten van ons niet eens begrijpen. Ik realiseerde me dat de meeste programmeurs die ik ken totaal andere interesses of dromen hebben dan wat ze doen voor werk (zoals veel andere mensen), maar nog steeds vaak gestereotypeerd worden als de nerd achter de computer. Met PISP wil ik ze in de spotlights zetten en al die verschillende persoonlijkheden laten zien.
Alle mensen die voor deze illustraties zijn getekend, weten dat ze deel uitmaken van dit project en hebben hun illustratie in fysieke of digitale vorm gekregen voor persoonlijk gebruik.

PISP is a ongoing series of illustrations, in which real life programmers are being depicted in unrealistic places that specifically suits them. The places are often linked to the things they like or are fascinated by.
This project started as a silly idea for a birthday gift, but is now being continued as an ongoing project. These illustrations often give a unique insight into the person who we normally only think of as sitting behind a desk, slaving away at code most of us don’t understand. I realized that most programmers I know have wildly different interests or dreams than what they do as their work (as a lot of other people), but are often still stereotyped to be the nerd behind the computer. With PISP I want to give them the spotlight and show all those different personalities.
All people drawn for these illustrations know they are part of this project and have gotten their illustration in physical or digital form for personal use.
